Charles (Charlie) Shafer represents clients in matters involving civil litigation, class action litigation, employment law, and trust and estate litigation, across state and federal court.
Minnesota Lawyer selected Charlie as one of “Minnesota Lawyer's Up & Coming Attorneys” for 2023. Super Lawyers Magazine recognized Charlie as a Minnesota Rising Star in 2022 and 2023.
Charlie graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Hamline University.
Charlie serves as a volunteer attorney for the Tubman Safety Project, which provides pro bono representation to victims of domestic abuse. Charlie is the senior chair of the Ramsey County Bar Association (RCBA) – New Lawyers’ Section and sits on the RCBA’s board of directors. Charlie is also a board member and the secretary of the Givens Foundation for African American Literature, which celebrates and promotes African American Literature.
When he is not practicing law, Charlie plays recreational sports, camps, and spends time with his wife and dog.
