Karl Cambronne is a partner, shareholder, and the president of Chestnut Cambronne. He heads the Class Action, Civil Litigation, and Maritime Law practice groups and is a frequent lecturer on these areas of law. For nearly a decade, he was an adjunct professor of maritime law at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has also served as Chairman on the Hennepin County Bar Association Professionalism Committee and is currently the Minnesota State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers. His service to the community also includes a tenure as President of Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, Minnesota and Chairman of the Board for Adults Saving Kids. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Summit Brewing Company.

In his over thirty years of practicing law, Karl has represented numerous consumers, shareholders, and other individuals primarily in the areas of securities fraud and consumer fraud. Most recently, Karl was a lead counsel in In re UnitedHealth Group, Inc. Shareholder Derivative Litigation, where he and his litigation team secured a $900 million settlement on behalf of shareholders in the largest stock backdating case to date. He has also been a court appointed Special Master in a number of complex litigation cases. Karl has been designated a Proctor in Admiralty, the highest professional designation within the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
